About me
I completed my degree in Translation studies (Slovenian, German, English) at the University of Graz, Austria, in 2006. In order to expand upon my knowledge and the range of skills I had acquired, I completed an additional postgraduate degree in International Relations at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia in 2013.
In addition to studying, I have also obtained practical experience at a range of European institutions. During the period of Slovenian presidency of the European Union in 2008, I worked actively in the Slovenian language division in Brussels, working as a translator in the Council of the European Union. Subsequently I was employed by the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main, working as a translator in the financial setting.
I have been professionally involved in language and translation services for more than 10 years and have relevant theoretical and practical experience in using Translation-Memory-Tools (Computer Aided Translation CAT) and/or software localisation tools.
Furthermore, I regularly attend seminars and training programmes for translators and interpreters for the betterment of my own knowledge and for the purpose of extending my network.
